Random thoughts to anyone who has drifted or is drifing away from their Faith:
OPED- The Charleston Gazette reported this morning that the Putnam County Health Department is having some serious financial troubles:
This is crossover week at the Capitol, which means that bills passed by the House of Delegates now goes to the State Senate to be considered.
Dear West Virginia, I suppose this has been a long time coming. Looking back, it must have seemed abrupt. Twenty-two years we spent together, then I up and left with no real explanation. I probably owed you more than that. So I’ll try my best to explain it to you now.
Hundreds of 2nd Amendment supporters gathered Saturday at the West Virginia State Capitol to rally against new gun ban laws proposed by President Obama in the wake of last month's school shooting in Connecticut. The rally was part of a grass-roots effort called Guns Across America, and was led by Delegate Joshua Nelson, R-Boone, and others who support the 2nd Amendment.
Ladies and gentlemen of the WVCDL and West Virginia. Today, around 3PM I met with Senator Manchin. In any conversation with a person of that level of power, there are two conversations that occur at once. The first is the obvious and direct meaning of what is spoken. The second conversation is the meaning between the lines. In this case, neither is good. West Virginia, in my opinion, you have been sold out.
Perhaps we in West Virginia overlooked the strangle hold that has been tightening for one hundred years. As it has been gradual we remembered it as it was, a comfortable, warm embrace; securely wrapped in the arms of the nations bosom, and then, it became too painful to look beyond.
